About the app
Recipes Lite is for people who repeat the same chore across several OfflinAI apps: open a file, summarize it, check the summary, put it in a new note. Set it up once as a recipe, then run it with one click or a single key.
A recipe is an ordered list of steps. A step can use one ability of an OfflinAI Lite app, pause so you can check or edit the text, put together a piece of text from earlier steps, or hand a task to an assistant that works through the apps' abilities itself. A value in one step can use what an earlier step gave back.
You stay in control. A dry run checks a recipe without running anything and tells you which app and ability each step would use, and what would fail. When a recipe runs, every step is logged with its input, its output, the app that did it and how long it took. You can stop a run at any time. Any step that cannot be undone, or that would replace or throw away something, asks you first.
The app lists what each installed OfflinAI Lite app can do, in plain words, and lets you try any ability once on its own. A few ready-made recipes are included to start from, such as summarizing a text file into a new note, making slides from a document, or drafting a project plan from a brief. You can add your own descriptions of abilities in a file.
The assistant features, which include assistant steps and a panel that turns a description of a chore into a draft recipe, use OfflinAI Server running on your own PC. Without it, recipes made of ordinary steps still work. Nothing is saved from the assistant until you choose to add it to your recipes.
Everything stays on your device. Nothing is sent to OfflinAI, there is no account, and no data is collected. Recipes are saved as small files in the app's own folder.
