OfflinAI Social Lite

About the app

Social Lite is a small, private place to write and plan posts, and to read and answer the open social networks you use. It connects to open, federated social networks that use the ActivityPub and AT protocols. You can connect several accounts on either network. Depending on the network, you either sign in through your browser, so your password never passes through the app, or use an app password, never your main password.

Read one timeline across your accounts, newest first, with a post read by two accounts shown once. See one list of notifications, and open any post with its whole conversation. Content warnings fold a post away until you open it.

Write drafts on your PC, pick the account each is for and set a planned day as a reminder. Social Lite never posts by itself, and scheduled posting is not part of the app. The counter shows the length as each network counts it, and Fit to length shortens a post at a sentence or word. Tracking parameters are taken out of links in a draft. Posting asks you first every time, for your clicks and for agents alike.

The assistant uses OfflinAI Server running on your own PC. It can turn a rough idea into a post in a tone you choose, draft a reply that fits the conversation, sum up what happened while you were away, and note which notifications seem worth answering. Without OfflinAI Server, every task still gives a simple result and says how to get AI answers.

Sign-in details are encrypted on your PC with a key kept by Windows. The app talks only to the servers you connect and to OfflinAI Server. No outside AI service sees your feeds or drafts. Nothing is sent to OfflinAI, there is no account, and no data is collected.

This version does not support pictures in posts, likes, boosts, follows or older pages of a timeline.
